HURCO machining centers and CNC lathes for flexible production

HURCO combines 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers and CNC lathes with intuitive WinMax programming. The CNC Outlet Center supports machine selection, availability checks and demonstrations of models currently on display.

HURCO: machines and controls from one manufacturer

HURCO develops machining centers and CNC lathes with its own control technology. For one-offs and small batches, programming and setup time matter alongside cutting performance. We therefore assess the machine design, operation and programming workflow together.

The milling and turning machine range

3-axis machining centers

  • VM i – compact mills for one-offs and small batches where floor space is limited
  • VMX i and Di – vertical machining centers with different travels, spindles and tool magazines
  • VMX HSi – high-speed machining centers with motorized spindles for applications requiring high spindle speeds

5-axis and multi-sided machining

  • VMX Ui/UDi, VC and VCX – machining centers with integrated trunnion tables for complex workpieces
  • VMX SRTi – swivel-head machines with an integrated C-axis for different workpiece sizes
  • VMX SWi – swivel-head machines requiring an additional rotary table for a 5-axis configuration

Bridge-type machining centers

  • BX and DCX – bridge mills for precise contours or large, heavy parts; selected models also feature 5-axis configurations

Horizontal CNC boring mills

  • HBMX i – boring and milling large workpieces with a horizontal spindle and CNC rotary table

CNC turning centers

  • TM i – general-purpose lathes with tool turret and tailstock for small and medium-sized turned parts
  • TM-Mi – turning centers with live turret tooling for additional milling and drilling
  • TMX MYi/MYSi – turning centers with Y-axis and live tooling; MYSi versions add a sub-spindle

WinMax: conversational programming and existing NC programs

The MAX® 5 control runs HURCO’s WinMax software. Conversational programming guides geometry and machining inputs, with graphics supporting program checks. CAM-generated NC programs can also be used. The postprocessor and software functions must suit the machine.

Optional Solid Model Import transfers geometry from STEP and DXF files. Conversational and NC programs can also be combined, depending on software options. We clarify which functions your part mix needs.

ProCobots for automated loading and unloading

ProCobots adds automated workpiece handling to compatible HURCO mills and lathes. The Automation Job Manager runs at the machine control, without separate robot programming. Machine compatibility, grippers, part storage and safeguards are matched to the application.

HURCO machines at the CNC Outlet Center

HURCO machines are exhibited at the CNC Outlet Center periodically. Before arranging a visit, we confirm which model is on site and its specification. Displayed machines can be viewed under power; cutting demonstrations require separate arrangements.

Check availability and scope of supply

We review suitable offers, software options, tool capacity and delivery dates. When no suitable machine is on display, we coordinate further selection and possible demonstrations with HURCO.

Initial selection here, technical coordination with HURCO

Please provide a part drawing, material, quantity, machining requirements and target production start. We agree the configuration with HURCO. Application support, training, maintenance and spare parts are available through HURCO Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Pliening, Germany.

Plan peripherals and investment together

Workholding, tooling, metrology and automation can be included in the specification. We can also help with financing and the valuation or sale of an existing machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which HURCO mill suits changing small-batch work?
VM and VMX cover conventional 3-axis tasks. Trunnion-table and swivel-head machines support multi-sided machining. Selection depends on the workpiece, access and setup requirements.
Can I reuse existing CAM programs?
WinMax supports NC programs. The postprocessor, machine kinematics and required software functions need checking for the specific machine.
Can I view a machine before buying?
When a suitable HURCO machine is on display, we arrange a viewing under power. Otherwise, we discuss demonstration options with the manufacturer.
Can ProCobots be retrofitted?
Machine model, year, control version and workpiece are assessed. Compatibility and the required retrofit scope are agreed with HURCO.
