The GDW lathe range at a glance

Conventional precision lathes

  • varioline – manually operated RD 250, FD 250 and MD 250 machines for straightforward turning and second-operation work
  • basicline – compact universal lathes with variable feed drive and GDW digital readout
  • classicline – conventional lathes with leadscrew, feed shaft, variable-speed main drive and stepped feed gearbox, from compact models to the LZ 600S
  • comfortline – precision lathes with continuously adjustable feeds and thread pitches and a GDW operator interface, including LZ 280VS and LZ 400VS
  • economyline – LZ 330V and LZ 400V for conventional turning with digital readout and comprehensive basic equipment

LZ 330 and LZ 400 CNC Outlet Editions

The LZ 330 and LZ 400 CNC Outlet Editions are based on GDW economyline models LZ 330V and LZ 400V. They are conventional lathes with leadscrew, feed shaft and digital readout.

Comparing the two machine sizes

  • LZ 330V – 330 mm swing over bed, 670 mm between centers and up to 4,000 rpm
  • LZ 400V – 400 mm swing over bed, 1,000 mm between centers and up to 3,000 rpm

With its greater distance between centers and larger swing diameter, the LZ 400V offers more machining capacity than the LZ 330V. It is particularly suitable when training workshops or one-off production also need to machine longer shafts and turned parts with larger diameters.

Clearly defined equipment and scope of supply

Each CNC Outlet Edition provides a defined, practical configuration at attractive terms. The quotation specifies the workholding, toolholders, accessories and services included. Price and delivery date are confirmed for the machine concerned.

The economyline is manufactured by selected production partners to GDW specifications, combining GDW engineering with cost-effective series production.

The right equipment for training and one-off parts

For a training workshop, we match machine size, controls and accessories to the intended workpieces and available space. For one-off production, we also consider setup frequency, workholding and toolholders. Together with GDW, we select a machine suited to everyday workshop tasks.
