Flow waterjet cutting systems for 2D and 3D machining

Flow offers waterjet cutting machines for metals, stone, plastics and composites. The CNC Outlet Center helps you select the right system and coordinates the configuration, cutting trials and quotation with Flow.

Flow

Waterjet cutting for metals and other materials

Flow develops waterjet cutting systems, high-pressure pumps, cutting heads and software. The machines process materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium, stone and composites. The cold-cutting process avoids a heat-affected zone at the cut edge.

For metals and other hard materials, abrasive is added to the waterjet. Soft materials such as rubber and foam can be cut with pure water. Together with Flow, we select the machine for your materials, thicknesses and parts.

The Flow machine range at a glance

Open systems for profile cutting and 5-axis machining

  • Mach 150: A waterjet system for 2D cutting, with a programmable Z-axis and a cutting table accessible from three sides.
  • Mach 200c: Its canted bridge improves access to the work area. The Pivot+ cutting head enables bevel cutting and 5-axis machining.
  • Mach 500: A high-performance system with a choice of working areas, high-pressure pumps and cutting heads. Dynamic Waterjet XD enables demanding 3D cutting applications.

Enclosed waterjet cutting machines

  • EchoJet: A compact system with a 1,300 × 1,300 mm working area. The enclosure contains spray and reduces noise; a 5-axis configuration is available.
  • NX Pro: An enclosed system with automatic abrasive removal and recycling. Reusing abrasive can reduce consumption and the amount requiring disposal.

Pure waterjet cutting with the Mach 200s

The Mach 200s is designed for soft materials such as rubber, foam and insulation. Depending on the configuration, up to four cutting heads can operate simultaneously.

2D profiles, bevels and 3D contours

A vertical cutting head may suffice for flat profiles. Dynamic Waterjet compensates for stream lag and taper when cutting flat material. Swivelling heads such as Pivot+ or Dynamic Waterjet XD enable bevels and 3D contours. We use your drawings to determine the appropriate machine, cutting head and software.

FlowXpert: from CAD model to cutting program

FlowXpert Infinity lets you create or import part geometry and generate cutting paths. FlowNest arranges parts on the sheet to reduce waste. FlowCut NX provides machine operation and runs the cutting programs. We match the software package to the selected machine and your applications.

Selecting the system for your cutting requirements

We consider sheet sizes, material thicknesses, tolerances and quantities. The high-pressure pump is specified together with the cutting head. Abrasive consumption, maintenance and material utilisation also enter the cost assessment.

Before ordering, we clarify the space requirements, utility connections, water quality and disposal of used abrasive with Flow. This brings the installation requirements into the project from the outset.

Enquire about Flow systems through the CNC Outlet Center

We discuss your cutting requirements and coordinate the configuration, scope of supply and delivery date with Flow. For a quotation, we need drawings or CAD data, the material, thickness and planned quantities.

Cutting trials with your material

We arrange demonstrations or test cuts directly with Flow. A sample part allows you to assess cut quality, achievable tolerances and machining time. The trial location and scope are agreed in advance.

Commissioning, training and service

Flow offers technical support, spare parts and training. The quotation specifies installation, commissioning and instruction in machine operation and programming. Maintenance services can also be included.

Plan the complete investment

We can also help with financing and the valuation or disposal of an existing machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Flow system is suitable for cutting metal?
Mach 150, Mach 200c and Mach 500 are among the options for abrasive cutting. EchoJet and NX Pro are available when an enclosed system is required.
Do I need a 5-axis cutting head?
A 5-axis configuration is particularly relevant for bevels and 3D contours. For flat profiles, we check whether a 2D system meets your requirements.
Can I obtain a test cut before making a decision?
We coordinate a cutting trial with Flow using your material and drawing. Feasibility, the procedure and the conditions are agreed in advance.
