Yamazaki Mazak: turning, milling and complete machining from one portfolio

Mazak covers CNC lathes, vertical, horizontal and 5-axis machining centers, and turn-mill centers. The key question is which concept combines scope, volume, setup effort and automation economically.

Turning and milling machine range at a glance

CNC turning centers

  • QUICK TURN – for conventional turning; as 2-axis machines or, depending on version, with driven tools, Y-axis and second spindle
  • QTE and QT-COMPACT – compact turning centers; selected versions add milling, Y-axis and second spindle
  • QRX – twin-turret machines for parallel machining; depending on version with Y-axis, tailstock or second spindle
  • SLANT TURN, TURNING CENTER and POWER MASTER – for large diameters, long shafts and heavy-duty cutting
  • MEGA TURN – vertical turning centers for large, heavy workpieces

Turn-mill centers with a milling spindle

  • INTEGREX – with full milling spindle, tool magazine and automatic tool change; depending on series with B-axis, second spindle and lower turret

Vertical machining centers and travelling-column machines

  • VCE and VC-Ez IP – vertical machining centers with MAZATROL SmoothEz; VCE is value-oriented and VC-Ez IP uses a BT40 spindle
  • VCN – BT40 or BT50 machines for high-speed through heavy-duty machining; automation is optional
  • MTV – high-torque BT50 centers for long and heavy workpieces and difficult-to-machine materials
  • VTC – fixed-table travelling-column machines for long workpieces or pendulum machining; selected versions also support 5-axis work

5-axis machining centers

  • VARIAXIS and CV5 – for multi-face machining and complex 3D surfaces
  • VORTEX and HCR – for large or industry-specific workpieces; HCR uses a horizontal layout

Horizontal machining centers

  • HCN and HCN NEO – with pallet changers, spindle options and optional scalable automation

Mazak INTEGREX: turn-mill centers for complete machining

INTEGREX is Mazak’s defining turn-mill series, with full milling spindle, tool magazine and automatic tool change. Many models add a swivelling B-axis.

Turning, milling and drilling and, where equipped, 5-axis or gear operations can therefore run on one machine. Fewer setups shorten lead times and reduce positional errors.

Which Mazak machine platform fits the task?

QUICK TURN covers predominantly turning work; QRX focuses on parallel turret machining. INTEGREX combines complete machining with a full milling spindle. VCE, VC-Ez IP and VCN cover vertical milling, MTV heavy cutting and VTC long workpieces or pendulum machining. VARIAXIS, CV5, VORTEX and HCR cover 5-axis work; HCN covers pallet-based horizontal machining.

Automation for turning and machining centers

Mazak turning centers can use bar feeders, gantry loaders, workpiece unloaders and Ez LOADER robots. Machining centers can optionally use robots, workpiece or pallet changers, MULTI PALLET POOL and PALLETECH.

MAZATROL: intuitive programming at the machine

MAZATROL combines high-precision CNC control with conversational programming. Programs can be created step by step and checked graphically at the machine. EIA/ISO or G-code remains available; SmoothC, SmoothEz, SmoothG or SmoothAi is used depending on series and generation.

Enquire about Mazak machines through the CNC Outlet Center

The CNC Outlet Center records workpiece, material, quantity, machining and automation, then assigns the enquiry to a suitable Mazak family.

Clarify availability, demonstration and scope of supply

Configuration, delivery time, demonstration options and scope of supply are coordinated with Mazak. Spindle, axes, tool capacity, automation and services are therefore defined before investing.

Detailed engineering and service by Yamazaki Mazak

Mazak handles process definition, machine selection, time studies and, where required, turnkey project management. Application engineering, commissioning, training, spare parts and technical service remain with the manufacturer.

Include financing and the existing machine

The CNC Outlet Center can also support financing and the valuation or disposal of an existing machine.
